Tree & Lawn Care Program
Give your landscape a little TLC! This program will help to increase the overall health and beautify your trees, shrubs and lawn. We are one of the few companies that are equipped to perform lawn and tree and shrub applications on the same visit. This approach is friendlier to the environment and saves you money!
Service frequency
The program consists of 6 service visits per year with visits performed approximately every two months apart. We invoice after each visit. We offer a 5% discount for paying for a year of services in advance.
Below is the timing of the visits and what we do each visit for your plants and lawn:
Early Spring (ESP - February-April)
Trees & Shrubs Application: This visit is for disease control on fruit trees, flowering fruit trees, dogwoods, hawthorns, roses and rhododendrons as well as photinias. This visit also includes an organic foliar stimulant that promotes improved growth and improved resistance to environmental stress.
Lawn Application: This visit helps get your lawn off to a great start after the long hard winter. It is a liquid application which includes moss control, crane fly control and fertilization. Note: You may notice blackening of the moss and ends of grass blades which is a normal response and does not cause lasting harm to the lawn, but will damage the moss. The blackening will disappear with mowing, rainfall, or watering.
Spring (SP - April-May)
Trees & Shrubs Application: This visit consists of insect and disease control for most plants in your landscape. This treatment also includes control of powdery mildew on susceptible plants.
Lawn Application: This visit we use a liquid fertilizer to supply a steady flow of nutrients to your lawn which helps maintain a lush green color. This application also includes lawn weed control on an as needed basis.
Summer (SU - May-July)
Trees & Shrubs Application: This visit consists of insect control for most plants in your landscape. This application also includes treatment for root weevil and mites on an as needed basis.
Lawn Application: This visit we use a liquid fertilizer to supply a steady flow of nutrients to your lawn which helps maintain a lush green color. This application also includes lawn weed control on an as needed basis.
Late Summer (LTSU - July-September)
Trees & Shrubs Application: This visit consists of insect control for most plants in your landscape. This application also includes mite control on an as needed basis.
Lawn Application: This visit we use a liquid fertilizer to supply a steady flow of nutrients to your lawn which helps maintain a lush green color. This application also includes lawn weed control on an as needed basis.
Fall (FA - September-November)
Trees & Shrubs Application: This visit consists of insect control for most plants in your landscape, and mite control on an as needed basis. It also includes granular fertilizing of ornamental shrubs and root weevil larvae control.
Lawn Application: This visit we use a liquid fertilizer to supply a steady flow of nutrients to your lawn which helps maintain a lush green color. This application also includes control for moss which may have built up during the year.
Winter (WI - November- January)
Trees & Shrubs Application: This visit controls over-wintering ("dormant") insects, mites and their eggs on fruits tree, ornamental fruit trees, pines, spruces, true firs, hawthorns and roses.
Lawn Application: This is your "winterizer" application which helps the lawn survive the cold winter. It promotes root growth and enables the lawn to store nutrients for a quick recovery in the spring.
Additional Services Offered
Fall pH Correction (FAL Lime - October)
For lawns, this lime application helps to raise the soil pH (if needed) and promote disease resistance. This application is recommended for lawns that are negatively affected by acidic soils.
Tree Injection (INJ - January-February)
For the control of dripping that is caused by insects in birches, maples, oaks, and spruces. This is ideal for large trees that are hard to spray or hang over driveways, patios and decks.
