Trees and Shrubs

If you have disease or insect-prone trees and shrubs in your landscape, you should consider our tree care program. Our programs can be customized to your landscape.

Tree and shrub diseases flourish in our cool, wet climate.  Diseases must be prevented; once leaves or branches are infected, spraying is less effective.  We know what needs spraying and the proper timing to keep your plants healthy.  We also spray selectively, only plants that need it.  This saves you money and minimizes environmental impact.  Plants most susceptible to disease are fruit trees, hawthornes, dogwoods, roses, rhodies and Photinia.

Insects and mites are also pests of many landscape plants in this area, including fruit trees, hawthornes, rhodies, spruces, pines, and true firs.  Controlling these pests is critical to keeping a healthy landscape.  Preventing serious plant pests is more cost effective than replacing expensive trees and shrubs.  Ask for a free, no obligation quote.

HOW DO I KNOW IF PESTS ARE ATTACKING MY TREES AND SHRUBS?

Insects and disease pests are not always visible.  Sometimes, the first sign of trouble is chewed or curled leaves.  Or, you may notice that needles or leaves change color or drop to the ground prematurely.  You may also see worms dropping from threads, dripping honeydew, or growths on branches and stems.  If you notice any of these signs, your plants need immediate attention.

HOW OFTEN SHOULD YARDS BE TREATED?

Most yards in this area require four to seven treatments per year.  We will tailor a program specifically for you, and it will include some or all of the services below.

  • Early Spring Application
  • Spring Application
  • Special Shrub Application
  • Summer Application
  • Late Summer Application
  • Fall Application
  • Dormant Application
